My name is Mark, and I'm a fun & focused facilitator of learning for talented young minds wanting to achieve new levels of insight.  More importantly, though, I seek to motivate each student’s journey to discovering their specially designed purpose.   As I ponder the key turning point teachers God placed in my academic pathway, I'm deeply grateful & motivated to pray God uses me in the same way.

Because of their inspiration, I pursued a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, followed by an M.S. in Computational Biochemistry.  The privilege of studying God's genius, beautiful, & efficient designs gave me opportunities to worship HIm even in a secular classroom.  After 15 years working in technology design & management roles for chemical & IT consulting companies, I transitioned to education and gained valuable classroom experience teaching Physics & Chemistry at private Christian colleges & high schools.  I've always been blessed to teach at schools that place a strong emphasis on intentional biblical integration into the curriculum, just like HSP+ emphasizes!  This opportunity came as a quick answer to a daring, heartfelt prayer: "God, I want you to use everything in my background for Your glory!".  

During that initial teaching time, I became an educational entrepreneur & expert test prep strategist for bright & motivated Christian students desiring to attend highly-selective universities -- whether secular or Christian.  I've coached top students from coast to coast, producing significant score increases for students across all sections of the ACT & SAT.  By God's grace, in 2019, I became a curriculum designer & master trainer for ACT, sharpening the skills of hundreds of high school teachers, college counselors, & test prep tutors.  I also designed innovative & affordable ACT & SAT test prep classes to serve hyper-busy students (athletes, artists/performers, etc) with unmatched point-improvement promises for the price.  

This summer I'm adding test prep classes for the CLT Exam (Classic Learning Test), as well as integrating character training into all my courses.  I've designed my classes to be laser-focused, customized, small group experiences that accomplish significant improvement in a compressed time frame.  I'm well aware that test score breakthroughs are only a beginning, and I'm fully invested in serving those students & families for their entire academic journey.
